Below you will find our Christmas Mass schedule for 2020. These will be live Masses in the church as well as live stream Masses online (with the exception of one, noted below).
During this time in the pandemic, please know that we still encourage parishioners to participate in the charity of staying home and attending Mass via live stream, as we know this is the most certain way to keep us all healthy. Bishop Brennan has granted dispensation from attending Mass indefinitely.
In addition to our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Mass schedule, this year we will also be offering Masses during the Octave of Christmas so that you have more opportunities to celebrate Christmas with your families if you choose to do so in person.
The Octave of Christmas
The Octave of Christmas is celebrated from Christmas day to January 1st, the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God. The wisdom of the Church begins the octave with the birth of Jesus and ends it on the eighth day with the veneration of Mary’s role in the incarnation. The Liturgy gives the clues that every day within the octave is treated the same as the original feast day of the Nativity of our Lord. We invite you to consider extending the feast throughout the octave by rejoicing in the Incarnation, the coming of God as man – fully human and fully divine in the person of Jesus Christ.
