Very Basic Overview of Islam

March 15, 2019

Today,  many people are eager to learn more about the Islamic religion.  For six (maybe seven weeks) we will explore some basic understandings of Islam and its connection to Judaism and Christianity.

April 25, May 2, 9, 16, 23 and  May  28 (Iftar Dinner), June 4 (Islamic Center) and June 13.  7:00 – 8:15 PM in Hendricks Hall.

This is a very basic presentation: that will include- Why is Islam and Abrahamic Religion? Who is Muhammed?  What is the Quran? Five Pillars of Islam, Ramadan, and Islamic Prayer are a few of the topics that will be covered.  We will also visit the NOOR Islamic Center in Dublin.  We will include  in the series a celebration of an Iftar Dinner (evening meal that breaks the daily fast during Ramadan).  The date for the Iftar is yet to be finalized.-Sister Teresa
