Update on Religious Education 2020-2021
August 10, 2020
Dear Parents,
The Church and her people continue to journey through this pandemic. The COVID-19 virus has changed the way we go about seemingly every aspect of life, and much has been asked of all of us as we try to reduce the spread and take care of each other.
We appreciate your patience as we developed the safest plan to share in catechizing your children at St. Brigid.
This year, we will be providing a Directed Faith Study program for Religious Education. Materials will be online through our traditional textbook publisher, Our Sunday Visitor. You will also be able to expect weekly emails detailing course topics and practical applications and tools to help in the journey of your child(ren)’s faith formation. In addition to weekly course emails, you will also be contacted monthly by phone. This will allow individual help and guidance for your family.
In terms of Sacramental preparation, we pray that we can join together in events preparing our children for these milestones on their faith journey. As a result, you will see the additional request for your child’s school on the 2020-2021 registrations. This information will be used to identify existing communities and therefore helping determine small groups for Sacramental events. Sacramental event dates TBD.
As a result of this necessary programming change, the tuition for the 2020-2021 Religious Education school year is $100/child. Tuition will cover textbook resources and some administrative costs.
