COVID-19 Update: Parish Activities Canceled
Due to the rapidly evolving health situation concerning the spread of COVID-19 or the Coronovirus, all parish activities (with the exception of Mass and Saint Brigid of Kildare School) will be canceled at this time until April 6, 2020, or until further notice. This includes all activities in Hendricks Hall, the church, school and Brigid’s Green (including but not limited to athletic practices and games, religious education classes, RCIA and bible studies, Scouts, Stations of the Cross, ministry and club meetings and all other activities and meetings).
We intend to do everything in our power to minimize contact with the virus at St. Brigid of Kildare for everyone, young and old and in between. We have added additional hand sanitizing stations to our church and buildings, and are adding extra cleaning and sanitation measures in both the church and school multiple times a day to combat spread of the virus.
We encourage you all to take precautions to limit your exposure, including limiting weekend activities and engaging in proper handwashing and hygiene activities such as not touching your face, staying home if ill, and using tissues. You can read more about steps to prevent the illness on the Center for Disease Control’s website here. The latest updates on COVID-19 in Ohio can be found on the Ohio Department of Health’s website here.
We will send emails as soon as anything changes, and we will also post the latest information on our website’s home page (www.stbrigidofkildare.org, scroll to “Latest News”).
We ask that you continue to pray for healing and hope for our families, the ill, and those affected by this pandemic. We pray that our measures will help aid in combating this illness for our fellow citizens.
