Help for Parishioners in Need

“This is not a time for indifference, because the whole world is suffering and needs to be united in facing the pandemic.”

Pope Francis’ statement in his Easter “Urbi et Orbi” was delivered from an empty St. Peter’s Basilica instead of to the usual crowd of tens of thousands. It was a message framed by his focus on this year’s “Easter of solitude” — that it should be a contagion of hope.

At St. Brigid of Kildare, now more than ever, we strive to continue to fulfill our Christian mission of extending grace and service to those in need. This is a time of crisis and we know it is a unique situation for everyone. We want to be a source of hope and comfort for our parish family — if you or someone you know is struggling spiritually or financially at this time, please reach out to us.

St. Brigid is blessed to have many devoted parishioners who have stepped up and donated funds to help their fellow parishioners in need. Our 55+ Club has designated over $1,500 to help someone in need during this time, and our Knights of Columbus have committed $2,000 to assist our parishioners. Our Sister, Deacons and Priests have been reaching out to those that need a reassuring call or consolation.  We have been working with local agencies and volunteers to connect individuals with services. Please reach out. This is not a time for pride or embarrassment. We have the resources and want to help during this crisis.

If you or someone you know is in need, please fill out our Contact Form and someone from the parish will be in touch.

We are praying for you all during this difficult time, as well as the world leaders and all those serving their community to help fight this pandemic.
