As a way of encouraging all adult parishioners to grow in their knowledge and practice of our faith, St. Brigid of Kildare has established the Adult Faith Formation and Education ministry. Parishioners have opportunities to participate in experiences that are designed to offer on-going growth and development in their Catholic faith. Sr. Teresa Tuite, OP, is the director. The descriptions below are general statements regarding the types of opportunities which will be available during the coming year. Always check the church bulletin and website for the most current offerings.

To find the contact information for any of these ministries, check the current Guide to Parish Life.

Topical Study

During the year, we offer topics which cover a broad and sometimes specific spectrum of Catholic life or things related to faith development.

Bible Study

During the year Bible Study will be offered to men and women in the evening. These are usually 4-6 weeks, one evening a week. They are meant for those who are not able to commit themselves to a year-long program.

Little Rock Scripture Study

The Little Rock Scripture group meets on Tuesday afternoons at 1:00 p.m. from August through May. Little Rock offers an opportunity not only for study, but also for incorporating the Scriptures into our personal prayer life.

Tuesday Morning Group

This discussion group meets weekly on Tuesday mornings and explores topics which cover a spectrum of Catholic life.

Women’s Bible Study

Throughout the year we will offer several opportunities for women to meet, share and pray together. These will typically be 7-week sessions with materials to use throughout the week. The program is offered on Wednesday evenings – 7:00-8:30 PM in Immke Room of Hendricks Hall. To get involved check the bulletin or contact Sr. Teresa at 614-761-3734 or ttuite@stbrigidofkildare.org. Men and the Nun Men gather together with Sister Teresa to learn, study, share and pray. We meet from 7:00 – 8:30 PM in Hendricks Hall.
