Family First is a ministry that seeks to empower parents as leaders in the home/domestic church. Family First offers insight into all stages of child development and Catholic parenting as well as marriage enrichment. We support the faithful living out of the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony as well and seek to encourage families to recognize family life as a true ministry.

Family First offers the following programs throughout the year:

Mom to Mom; a weekly Catholic parenting discussion group, (childcare included).

Sisters in Christ; a weekly Catholic women’s faith sharing group.

Make it a Date; After Saturday evening Mass, connect with other couples focusing on marital “topics” then head out to a date with your spouse to discuss the topics.

Advent By Candlelight; an event for women to prepare their hearts and minds for Advent. To learn more about the 2022 program, click here.

Family service; various family service projects appropriate for all ages.

Playgroup; meet other preschool-aged families and “talk shop” on the playground.

Family enrichment workshops; building family mission statements etc.

Education; parenting resources to support families as they build their domestic church.

Melanie Pizzino, a member of the Family First Board, used materials produced by the Diocese to create a Family Mission Statement Workshop for our parish.  Thankfully, technology has made it possible to virtually guide you through these materials so that you can conduct your own mission workshop at home with your families! To begin, please click on the Instructions document in the link above.
