New Masses & Liturgical Offerings

Dear St. Brigid Community,

I wish to thank all of you for a very meaningful and memorable Advent and Christmas season. During this sacred time, we as a parish had many opportunities to prayerfully celebrate together. We also experienced some new opportunities such as praying the Rosary together before our 9:00 a.m. Mass and some extended time for Eucharistic Adoration on Wednesday evening. Given the great response we had for these opportunities, as well as some ideas I have been reflecting on, I would like to announce the following changes in our liturgical schedule:

Beginning Immediately:

We will pray the Rosary each Sunday at 8:30 a.m. in the church.

Beginning Saturday, February 1:

We will add a Saturday morning Mass each week at 9:00 a.m. (This Mass will not fulfill the Sunday obligation.) Please join us on Saturday, February 1 to celebrate the Feast Day of our patroness Saint Brigid of Kildare. There will be a reception with light refreshments to follow in Hendricks Hall.

Beginning Wednesday, February 5:

In addition to our First Friday Adoration, we will begin a weekly Eucharistic Adoration from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in our Chapel.

Beginning Saturday, March 8:

Confessions will be moved from 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays to 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays, following the morning Mass.

Beginning Sunday, March 9:

We will begin a weekly 7:30 a.m. Mass on Sundays. This Mass will include music for the Processional and Recessional with other parts of the Mass recited.

I thank our clergy, staff, and volunteers for their willingness to provide for these extra liturgies.

Sincerely in Christ,

Father James Black
