Welcome Father Jason Fox

We are delighted to welcome Father Jason Fox to St. Brigid of Kildare as our new Parochial Vicar, who began his time at our parish in May.

Father Fox most recently served at St. John Neumann Parish after being ordained in 2024. He completed his seminary studies at Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary in Boston, a seminary dedicated to men in their second vocation who have already earned a bachelor’s degree. Prior to entering seminary, Father Fox earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and law enforcement in Michigan.

A native of Toledo, Ohio, Father Fox attended the same elementary school as Bishop Earl Fernandes and was later part of the public school system in Toledo. After later moving to Columbus, his home parish became St. Joan of Arc, where he was inspired by the pastoral leadership of Fr. Black and Fr. Smith. His love for parish life and liturgy has grown over the years, and he has been actively involved in supporting local ministries, including a reintroduction home in Delaware.

Father Fox is passionate about working with children and youth, and he is especially excited to be part of a parish with a vibrant school community. He’s looking forward to engaging with the youth group, the many active ministries here, and getting to know the families of the parish.

Family is an important part of Father Fox’s life. His parents reside in Toledo, and he has three sisters—two of whom live in Columbus. Between them, he has four young nieces and nephews. With a father who is the youngest of ten, Father Fox comes from a large extended family with 21 cousins, so a large close-knit family has always been a part of his life.

Father Fox is looking forward to participating in liturgical life, engaging with the school and youth programs, and hopefully taking up golfing again!

Please join us in welcoming Father Jason Fox. There will be a welcome reception at our Parish Picnic on Sunday, June 29 at noon at Brigid’s Green.
