Adults seeking sacramental communion with the Roman Catholic Church will, routinely in most cases, enter the Church through RCIA. It requires attendance at catechetical evenings for upward of six-months or more. For additional information, please call the parish office at 614-761-3734.
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) provides an opportunity for adults who are seeking full communion with the Church to learn about the Catholic faith.
Classes meet Thursday evenings 7:00-8:30 pm from October through the Easter Vigil Mass, with one additional meeting in the month of May and an optional Mass at the Cathedral on Pentecost Sunday. Full communion for catechumens (not yet baptized) and candidates (already baptized in the Christian faith) occurs at the Easter Vigil. Catholic spouses and all parishioners are welcome to attend the classes. Those interested in learning more about RCIA can contact Deacon Paul Zemanek, RCIA Director, at email@example.com, or fill out the electronic form at the bottom of the page for Deacon Paul to contact you.
If you are interested in returning to the Church and would like to speak with someone, please contact Sister Teresa Tuite, Director of Adult Faith Formation (firstname.lastname@example.org) or 614-761-3734.
If you plan to attend the RCIA meetings to learn more about becoming Catholic, click here to print off the RCIA Inquiry Form. This can be turned into the parish office with attention to Deacon Paul Zemanek, or emailed to him at the above email address.
We have a variety of education videos for our RCIA program, including Who is Mary, Scripture and Tradition, Who is Jesus, Overview of the Mass, and a Tour of St. Brigid Church.
